I'd add...<br /><br />If pausing a DVD player for any length of time during the show (e.g. if an act is mixing video with live standup), check to make sure it won't suddenly time out and start playing a screensaver. Or switch itself off. Or otherwise get all up in your grill. And test playing the DVD all the way through beforehand (sound + picture). And always have a backup DVD. Always.<br /><br />And...<br /><br />Pass mailing lists around in the interval.
